Joshua Chu, a senior at Ponderosa High in California, won the 5-kilometer boys championship race in 15:23 at the Foot Locker West Regional at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif. Chu elevated from an 11th-place finish at last year's regional race, advancing to compete Dec. 9 at the Foot Locker national final at Balboa Park's Morley Field in San Diego, Calif.
